  1. create solid background layer and text layer
  2. create a line with the pen tool, stroke only
  3. make new shape layer, rectangle to cover text
  4. line up rectangle with stroke so that it perfectly covers it
  5. put shape layer below line
  6. select text layer, toggle switches and modes and pull up track mat
  7. affamat the text layer to the the rectangle
  8. parent the rectangle to the shape layer
  9. keyframe position of the line
